Thailand and Sri Lanka have been maintaining a close friendship nationally, religiously, culturally and educationally since the inception of their association.
I am fortunate enough to construct a two storied Higher Ordination Unit in memory of my deceased parents, Col. Chaleow Saengaram and Thongmuan Saengaram at Amugoda Jayasumanarama Maha Vihara of Elpitiya, Sri Lanka.
Rev. Amugoda Somananda Nayaka Thera (MA) has been maintaining a close connection with Wat Pat Nam Maha Vihara in Thailand and the Deputy Sangaraja Maha Rajamangalachariya (Somadej) of Thailand including other priests. He is closely associated by our family members and he keeps a healthy relationship with them.
All bhikkhus of Wat Pat Nam Maha Vihara and I wish him all success and the ceremonial opening of the Higher Ordination Unit by the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, D.M. Jayarathna.
